Equine Podiatry Consultation
(In Person)
Sessions include a discussion on topics affecting whole horse and hoof health. The checking of heat/pulses, dynamic assessment in the walk (and trot where appropriate) to assess footfall/landing/loading. In addition to the trim and feedback on your horses hoof health with any recommendations/advice given.
Equine Podiatry Consultation
(Virtual)
Similar to the in-person consultation except there is no physical examination or trimming of your horses hooves. Ideal for clients who are out of my geographical working area, or for those interested in finding more information about their horses hooves/considering taking their horses barefoot. Consultation typically happen over zoom, and photographs are recommended to be sent ahead of the session, so feedback can be given. Please Note: I do not give any trimming advice as you cannot assess this without seeing the hooves in person. The consultation has greater emphasis on general hoof health, the impact diet/environment has on your horses hooves, basic anatomy of hooves and recognising/managing common bacterial/fungal issues.
Equine Sports Massage Therapy
Equine Sports Massage can be booked as standalone sessions, or incorporated into your equine podiatry sessions for an additional (but discounted) cost.
Focusing on the superficial musculature of your horse, your horse will enjoy a 45 minute full body massage tailored to their areas of tension. An easy to understand report is given to provide feedback to the owner.
